En concreto trata sobre la igualdad <b>ab + (a-b)<sup>2<\/sup>\/4 = (a+b)<sup>2<\/sup>\/4<\/b>\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p>El papiro, seg\u00fan algunos autores, estar\u00eda escrito en la primera centuria de nuestra era. Escrito en griego, dice<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>If a straight line be cut into equal and unequal segments, the rectangle contained by the unequal segments of the whole together with the square on the straight line between the points of section is equal to the square on the half.[<a href=\"http:\/\/www.math.ubc.ca\/~cass\/Euclid\/papyrus\/papyrus.html#when\" target=\"_blank\">T.
