Desde los griegos, la geometr\u00eda se basaba en analizar las figuras con m\u00e9todos palpables. Sin embargo, la concepci\u00f3n del sistema cartesiano por Descartes abre una nueva v\u00eda: una figura puede representarse mediante una curva.
