\"\"This book deals with the numerical solution of\u00a0differential equations, a very important branch of mathematics. Our\u00a0aim is to give a practical and theoretical account of how to solve \u00a0a\u00a0large variety of differential equations, comprising ordinary\u00a0differential equations, initial value \u00a0problems and boundary value\u00a0problems, differential algebraic equations, partial differential\u00a0equations and delay differential equations. The solution of\u00a0differential equations using R is the main focus of this book. It is\u00a0therefore intended for the practitioner, the student and the\u00a0scientist, who wants to know how to use R for solving differential\u00a0equations. However, it has been our goal that non-mathematicians\u00a0should at least understand the basics of the methods, while obtaining\u00a0entrance into the relevant literature that provides more mathematical\u00a0background. Therefore, each chapter that deals with R examples is\u00a0preceded by a chapter where the theory behind the numerical methods\u00a0being used is introduced.<\/p>\n
